Matt Alderton, B-xponential Networking.

- Matt, who organised the event is from my hometown in Mortdale, Sydney. He is an award-winning business-man, entrepreneur, #1 best-selling author, speaker, and trainer – not to mention a husband and father of three (this guy gets shit done!).

Matt was named the Business Person of the Year for 2015. Matt has owned more than a dozen multi-award winning businesses across multiple industries, including retail, hospitality, technology, entertainment and education.

The event was in front of a packed audience of Sydney Entrepreneurs and business owners at The Wesley Center Pitt Street.

 

The best part about presenting at BX16 was this seeing my two amazing parents sitting in the front row watching me present. It was the first time they were in the audience at one of my talks. As I walked on stage I glanced over at my mum and she had a tear in her eye. My dad's head was down in his hands because he was extremely nervous. They've both been by my side through the hardest times imaginable - watching me battling with a punctured lung after being stabbed, 100 staples in my head after another stabbing, and also trying to get me through the pains of drug and alcohol addiction. My actions also resulted in my family home being raided by police looking for evidence 

They never gave up on me. After I spoke, they snuck into backstage and gave me a hug and told me they loved me. It's nice to see them both proud of me. Life is beautiful
